An Orangerie Wedding in Baton Rouge | Rebecca + Arlen

I know I recently blogged about Rebecca and Arlen’s engagement session, but now I want to show off their wedding. They chose to have an Orangerie wedding in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This is the exact same place as they had their engagement photos taken. This location is just gorgeous and is filled with the most beautiful florals that make the best backdrop for a wedding day. Their wedding color of a soft blue complimented the venue very well. They also asked their guests to also wear blue to the celebration. I think that also made for some cool photos since there was a sea of people in blue.

The day started bright and early since it was a brunch wedding. I don’t think Rebecca even got much sleep the night before. Rebecca wanted to have not only a first look with her husband to be but one with her father too. I really love it when my couples opt for first looks since it gives them some time with each other before the ceremony and allows me to get more portraits of them together. A majority of my couples want to be able to go straight to the party with their guests and not worry so much about the more formal photos after the ceremony.

Since Rebecca and Arlen’s wedding was a brunch wedding. They included lots of breakfast-y food for their guests to enjoy. They also had a mimosa bar set up for their guests.

I could not have captured the day fully without my second shooter, Kathryn Girlinghouse. She hung out with the groom while he and his group got ready while I was with the bride. A few of the photos below were taken by her which I included to fully tell the story of Rebecca and Arlen’s day.

Take a look below at Rebecca and Arlen’s Orangerie wedding.
